Hello, I am the PR person in charge of Ginten Kyoto Porta store.

Our lunch hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., regardless of the day of the week we are open. Please feel free to visit us for an early or late lunch during work or on your day off. We also offer a wide variety of lunch-only specials.

The basics are this: Kakiage and Toro-tamago (yam and egg) tempura with shrimps and mitsuba leaves.

The "Kakiage Shrimp and Mitsuba and Toro-tama Tendon", a lunchtime-only menu item, is, as the name suggests, a combination of kakiage (deep-fried shrimp and mitsuba) and toro-tama (a half-boiled egg yolk that comes out when the chopsticks are passed through the bowl).
Lunchtime tendon comes with miso soup with scallion and a large serving of rice is free. You can also order our regular fried food menu during lunch time, so it is fun to order additional items of your choice to make your own original tendon.

Kakiage and Toro-tama tempura bowl with shrimp and mitsuba is available for 1,089 yen (tax included).

A very satisfying dish Tendon

Our signature tendon is a large bowl of rice topped with a generous portion of freshly fried tempura. Tendon consists of seven kinds of tempura: large shrimp, squid, yam, chicken thigh, pumpkin, onion, and toro-tama. The freshly fried and crispy tempura, which is cooked to order, is paired perfectly with our signature tendon sauce. 1,529 yen (tax included).

Ginten" enjoys freshly fried tempura and atemaki with a tea break.

We use a revolutionary cooking device called a "water fryer" to serve healthy tempura.
The shochu used to make the tea can be poured from the faucet provided at all tables in any amount and at any time!
The clean, white wood interior can be used for a variety of occasions, from casual drinks to date nights.
